Fantastic experience with The Barnyard in Cockeysville. Rob was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. He listened to what our needs were and really helped us figure out the type of shed that would be right for us without trying to oversell us on stuff we didn't need. Hoping to not need another shed for a very long time but would 100% go back to them again.

This is the 3rd Shed I've purchased over the years, they build a top quality shed. This one is next to the house so the color blends well. I'll be using it for gardening. I'm 5'9 and can stand in it without bending over. I love it. Top quality work and great people to work with. I highly recommend them.

Rob and his service installing our swing set play area was great from start to finish. He first came to our home to help provide guidance what would work for our space and our budget, and not overreaching. His install team was also professional, courteous and on time. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

We purchased both a shed and swing set from The Barnyard and they were great to work with. Rob came to our house to make sure it would be possible to get a shed installed on our rather hilly backyard. He helped us to customize our shed and playset to exactly what we wanted and made some really helpful suggestions on where to position everything in our yard. He was also very communicative throughout the process. Highly recommended!

Let me start by saying that I spent months & months researching & planning out all my options for getting a shed (build myself, hire a contractor, shed vs pole, hire a company) I also checked out every company I could in Carroll, Baltimore Co & nearby areas....Then while at the fall fest in Hereford I ran into Rob from The Barnyard & I knew after a few minutes of talking that he was our guy & I'm so glad we went this route, he has been in the business from one end to the other building, delivering, sales etc so he knows it all inside & out. From our first meeting to delivery day Rob was on top of everything & kept in communication with us to keep us updated. We ended up going with a 16x24' shed & as far as pricing from one shed company to another their prices are quite competitive & they delivered a great product, yes I could have saved a few thousand and done it myself but its a beautiful thing when you get to sit back & let someone else deal with all the stress & details & you get to just enjoy the end product, well worth the trade off in my opinion. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a shed, give Rob a call & hell take care of you! Thank you Rob & everyone else that was involved, we couldn't be happier!

This is my second shed I have purchased from The Barnyard. Rob and his family made the buying experience very enjoyable. Most of our communication over was text message. Rob worked with me sending over pictures until we found the right shed. I was kept up to date the entire time on the status of my shed. My experience was very good, they worked with me and explained the entire process in detail. I was amazed by how they were able to get it down my driveway considering that my driveway is a pretty steep incline but low and behold they got it where it needed to be!! I highly recommend them over and over again

Working with Rob at Barnyard has been delightful. From start to finish, and beyond, he has been helpful and understanding - making my plans a reality. It was easy to visit the lot to check our different designs, sizes, and colors. It’s nice to not have to stick to one exact model - we worked to have the doors and windows where I wanted them. And the delivery was great! We live on a hill but it was no match for the team. And since install, Rob has even checked back in to make sure it’s all going well. Truly great service, affordability, and care.

The best experience! The owner Rob sat down with us and helped us design our 12’x18’ and 6’x10’ sheds, gave us transparent (and fair) pricing and delivered the sheds to the desired locations in our yard within the timeframe estimated. All in all, the way it should work. We love be our sheds and will be back to The Barnyard for our next purchase!

I researched coop makers from Annapolis to Cumberland, PA to VA, and I chose The Barnyard because of their exceptional quality, ability to customize the design, patient customer rep, flexible funding options, and the best delivery driver. I bought a quaker style chicken coop with an attached run, fully roofed, measuring 6 x 14. I had it customized for my ten farm cats including electrical outlets, lighting, and additional windows. I needed a place to hold them as they transitioned to our new farm and to keep them at night because of the heavy coyote population. The rep, Rob, was very patient with me as I worked through the customizing to give my farm cats the safest and comfortable four season home. The delivery driver was amazing, as he was able to make the 75 degree turn off the narrow road into the lane, navigate down a mile long gravel lane through the forest, over a very narrow bridge, up a steep long hill, around outbuildings on a sharp curve, and off load the cat coop into a cattle shed with only inches to spare. The financing was incredibly simple and give months same as cash. I am totally satisfied with the entire transaction. I even came back and bought a chicken coop for the chickens.

This is a locally owned small business where we’ve had exceptional experiences. In our experience, Barnyard has superb customer service, combined with high quality products at fair price points. We highly recommend the Barnyard. We needed sturdy new picnic tables for the family lake house where more than 50 of us gather once a year. Rob was super helpful, delivered 8 good-looking, sturdy picnic tables to a lake in the Poconos and even took away the old, rotted ones!

We purchased a 12x12 gazebo from The Barnyard and Rob made the process educational and easy. He worked with us on the color scheme for the yard and surroundings and ensured us that the installation and leveling would be done seamlessly. The delivery guy called within an hour of delivery and upon arrival he skillfully transferred the gazebo from the truck to the patio deck. Rob also made a personal site visit the following day to ensure we were satisfied with the product and installation. The gazebo is beautiful and well made. Thanks Rob for our new space. We love it. By the way, you may want to add gazebos to the services performed list below.

We are repeat customers of the Barnyard. We've purchased a shed, an outdoor dining table and chairs, as well as a bunch of Adirondack chairs and footrests for our deck, firepit, and driveway. We love our little shed! Shopped around a bit and decided The Barnyard on York Rd had exactly what we wanted. A small shed that would blend in with the trees and gardens. The roof is dark forest green and the shed is golden brown. Made by the Amish, the quality is excellent. The staff are lovely. No one follows u around, you are left on your own to take your time and browse. They are eager to assist when needed. Everyone is so nice. Rob was wonderful to work with.

Highly recommend! Rob is professional & personable when helping to go through all the options that fit your needs. He lays out all of the options without pushing any of them on you. He was patient with me while I made decisions and had multiple questions over a couple weeks before I decided on what I wanted.

Quality of the shed is outstanding! Aside from the quality, the delivery service was excellent as well, as they were able to drop it off in my backyard pre-made with no issues.

We love our custom shed! The Barnyard worked patiently with us as we figured out which configurations would work best for us. I highly recommend also hiring them to build a foundation for your shed - they did an amazing job!

The Barnyard is a hidden gem. After several months of searching for a shed that not only served it’s purpose, but also looked attractive and not overly shed-like, we happened to stop here after visiting Andy Nelson’s BBQ next door.

We’d been researching several sources and The Barnyard was by far the most reasonably priced for a comparable product, or better, than other places we looked. We were able to customize our shed with a great selection of options, the process was easy, and everyone was helpful and extremely easy to work with.

To top it off, it made us feel good that they are a local family-owned and operated business for over 40 years. Overall a great, painless experience.
